Emailable Alternative: 250 Free Credits & Pricing

Emailable Alternative: 250 Free Credits & Pricing

Emailable is a strong choice for a one-time list test: every new account gets 250 free credits, credits do not expire, and unknown results are refunded. That is a better evaluation offer than most vendors publish.

The reasons to look for an Emailable alternative are different. You may need a recurring free allowance instead of a one-time balance, a smaller minimum purchase, a WordPress plugin, or a clearer answer on how catch-all domains are classified and billed. This page compares those points without pretending the two products are identical.

Pricing and plan details were checked on 28 October 2026 on Emailable's official pricing page. Verify current prices before buying.

What Emailable does well

Emailable's pricing is transparent and its free tier is useful. The 250 free credits let you test a sample of a real list before spending anything, and the paid credits never expire. Unknown results and duplicates are credited back when a list finishes, which removes one of the annoying surprises in verification billing.

The product also has the pieces a developer expects: a bulk uploader, a single-address verifier, an API and a real-time widget. Emailable publishes SOC 2 Type II and GDPR claims, and its FAQ says a 250,000-address list is typically processed in about seven minutes. For a team that wants a simple credit balance and a fast bulk run, that is a solid package.

Where an alternative makes sense

1. The minimum purchase is larger than your monthly need. The smallest paid purchase is 5,000 credits. If you verify a few hundred signups a month, that is a multi-month balance, not a monthly plan. Email Validator's free tier resets every month, which fits a smaller recurring volume.

2. You want catch-all treated as a first-class status. Emailable refunds unknown results, which is helpful, but catch-all is not the same as unknown. Ask how your catch-all domains are classified, whether they consume credits, and whether you can export that segment separately.

3. You need a WordPress-native path. If the verification has to happen inside a WordPress form, membership site or WooCommerce checkout, check the plugin path before choosing a bulk-first tool. Email Validator ships a WordPress plugin and documents the setup.

4. You want a lower monthly entry point. Emailable's entry purchase is $38. Email Validator starts at $6/month, with 100 free checks every month. For a small sender, the difference in cash flow matters more than the per-credit price at 5,000 units.

Source: Emailable pricing, checked 28 October 2026. Emailable's 250 free credits are a one-time account balance; Email Validator's 100 checks reset monthly. Which is better depends on whether you are evaluating once or verifying every month.

The catch-all test

Use a seed file with 25 catch-all addresses from your own list, 20 known-good contacts, 20 deleted mailboxes and a handful of role and disposable addresses. Upload the same file to both vendors and compare:

  • How many catch-all addresses are labeled catch-all, unknown or valid.
  • How many credits each status consumes.
  • Whether the catch-all segment can be exported separately.
  • How many known-good contacts are wrongly marked invalid.

Emailable's refund of unknown results is useful, but it does not answer the catch-all question by itself. Ask for the exact status mapping before you migrate a large list.

Where Email Validator fits

We built Email Validator around repeatable verification, not a one-time cleanup:

  • 100 free checks per month, no card, so small lists and new signups can be checked continuously.
  • Catch-all, risky and machine-generated results are not billed as extra credits, up to 100,000 addresses per upload.
  • Single checks, bulk CSV upload, REST API, WordPress, Zapier and Google Sheets.
  • Statuses that separate invalid, catch-all, risky, role, disposable, spam trap and over-quota addresses.

See the pricing page for current limits. The honest trade-off: Emailable's 250 free credits are better for a single large test, while Email Validator's recurring free allowance is better for ongoing small-volume work.

Migration checklist

  1. Keep the original CSV and the Emailable result column.
  2. Re-verify rather than importing old verdicts.
  3. Rebuild suppression lists before the first campaign.
  4. Run both vendors in parallel on new signups for a week.
  5. Measure bounce rate by segment after the first two sends.

FAQ

Is Emailable a good email verifier?
Yes. It has a generous free balance, non-expiring credits, a fast bulk workflow and a documented API. The decision is about minimum purchase, catch-all treatment and whether you need a recurring free tier.

How much does Emailable cost?
The entry paid purchase is 5,000 credits for $38 ($0.0076 per credit); a 15% subscription brings that to $32.30 for 5,000 credits. Prices checked 28 October 2026.

Do Emailable credits expire?
No — Emailable says credits never expire, including unused subscription credits that roll over.

What is the difference between unknown and catch-all?
Unknown means the provider could not reach a definitive answer. Catch-all means the domain accepts every address, so a specific mailbox cannot be confirmed. They need different follow-up actions, which is why the status mapping matters.
