Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Email Validator service (“the Service”), operated by N-Software and available at email-validaton.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Email Validator provides email verification and validation services, including but not limited to:

• Single email address verification via our web interface
• Bulk email list cleaning (Excel/CSV uploads)
• Paste-based batch email validation
• Real-time API integration for programmatic email verification
• SMTP-level mailbox existence checks
• Catch-all domain detection
• Disposable email address identification
• Typo correction and domain suggestion

While we strive for industry-leading accuracy (typically 99%+), email verification involves inherent technical limitations due to SMTP protocol constraints and individual provider policies. Results should be used as a guide, not as a guarantee of deliverability.

3. Account Registration & API Keys

3.1 Registration. To access certain features, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3.2 API Keys. API access requires an API key, available from your account dashboard. You must keep your API key confidential and not share it with unauthorized parties. All API requests made using your key are your responsibility. Revoke and regenerate your key immediately if you suspect it has been compromised.

3.3 Account Integrity. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.

4. Credits, Plans & Payments

4.1 Free Tier. New accounts receive a free tier with 200 email verifications per calendar month. Free tier includes web verification, bulk upload, and API access subject to fair-use rate limits.

4.2 Credit Packs. One-time credit purchases provide a fixed number of verification credits. Credits do not expire and are consumed only on chargeable results (valid and invalid statuses). Risky, catch-all, unknown, disposable, and error results are not charged.

4.3 Subscriptions. Monthly subscription plans provide a recurring monthly allocation of verification credits, plus API access and bulk upload capabilities. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle.

4.4 Billing. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. By making a purchase, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms and our pricing as displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

4.5 Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Membership dashboard. Upon cancellation, future billing stops immediately, but you retain access to your remaining credits until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically:

• You may ONLY verify email addresses that belong to individuals who have consented to receive communications from you.
• You must comply with all applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the GDPR, CAN-SPAM Act, and CASL.
• You must not use the Service to verify email addresses obtained through scraping, harvesting, purchased lists without consent, or any other illicit means.
• You must respect rate limits and not attempt to circumvent them.

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

1. Use the Service for spam, phishing, fraud, or any malicious activity;
2. Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
3. Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its outputs as a standalone product;
4. Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service outside the published API;
5. Upload or process email lists containing malware, illegal content, or content that violates third-party rights;
6. Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks;
7. Use the Service in a manner that could overburden, impair, or damage our infrastructure;
8. Bypass or attempt to bypass any rate limiting, credit tracking, or access control mechanisms.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our IP. The Service, including its software, algorithms, design, trademarks (including “Email Validator”), logos, and all associated content, is the exclusive intellectual property of N-Software. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended.

7.2 Your Data. You retain full ownership of the email addresses and data you submit to the Service. We do not sell, rent, or share your email lists with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that verification results will be 100% accurate in all circumstances.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, N-SOFTWARE AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or engagement in prohibited activities. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. For terminations without cause, we will refund any unused, non-expired credits on a pro-rata basis.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Upon voluntary termination, unused credits and subscription benefits are forfeited and non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your account and/or by a notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.
