3. Matomo Analytics
We use Matomo (formerly Piwik), a privacy-focused, open-source web analytics platform. Matomo is self-hosted on our own infrastructure at matomo.northpublisher.com. This is fundamentally different from Google Analytics and similar third-party services because:
- All analytics data is stored on our own servers — no data is shared with Google, Facebook, or any external analytics provider.
- IP addresses are anonymized (last two octets removed) before storage.
- We have configured Matomo to respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser settings.
- Data is used only for understanding how visitors interact with our website (pages visited, time on site, browser type) — never for advertising or profiling.
- You can opt out of Matomo tracking entirely using the iframe below.
Note: An opt-out mechanism can be embedded here using Matomo's iframe opt-out feature. This requires configuring the opt-out in your Matomo dashboard and embedding the generated iframe code.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not set any third-party cookies on email-validaton.com for advertising, social media, or cross-site tracking purposes. The only potential third-party cookie scenario is:
- Lemon Squeezy Checkout: When you click a “Buy” or “Subscribe” button, the Lemon Squeezy checkout overlay (
app.lemonsqueezy.com) may set cookies necessary for processing your payment. These cookies are governed by Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to or control over these cookies.
5. Managing Cookies
